Answer: Yes, examples will certainly and clarify what is meant, so we will move straight on to quoting some of the most important points that scholars and leaders of da¡¯wah has said:

10. Putting them in administrative positions where they are bosses of
Muslims and can humiliate them, run their affairs and prevent them from
practicing their religion. Similarly, we should not employ them in Muslim homes
where they can see our private matters and they bring our children up as
kaafirs. This is what is happening nowadays when kaafirs are brought to Muslim
countries as workers, drivers, servants and nannies in Muslim homes and
families.

Neither should we send our children to kaafir schools, missionary institutions and evil colleges and universities, or make them live with kaafir families.

11. Imitating the kaafirs in dress, appearance, speech, etc., because
this indicates love of the person or people imitated. The Prophet said: ¡°I
disown the one who stays among mushikeen.¡±

It is forbidden to imitate the kaffirs customs, habits and matters of outward appearance and conduct that are characteristic of them. This includes shaving the beard, letting the moustache grow long, and speaking their languages, except when necessary, as well as matters of clothing, food and drinks, etc.

12. Staying in their countries when there is no need to do so. Nobody
will be excused for staying in a kaafir country except for those who are truly
weak and oppressed and cannot migrate, or those who stay among them for the
valid religious purpose such as da¡¯wah and spreading Islam in their countries.

13. Praising them and their civilization and culture, defending them,
and admiring their behavior and skills, without taking note of their false
ideology and corrupt religion. Forsaking the Islamic calendar and using their
calendar, especially since it reflects their rituals and festivals, as it is
the case with the Gregorian(Western) calendar, which is connected to the
supposed date of the birth of the Messiah(peace upon him), which is an
innovation that they have fabricated and that has nothing to do with the
religion of ¡®Essa(Jesus)¡¯. Using this calendar implies approval of their
festivals and symbols.

14. Take part in their holidays and festivals, helping them to celebrate
them, congratulating them on these occasions or attending places where such

These examples should give a clear picture of what is meant by the prohibition of forming close friendship with kaafirs. We ask Allaah to keep our belief sound and our faith strong. And Allaah is the Source of Help.

Question: Is it allowed for Muslim woman to be friends
with a non-Muslim woman who is very decent, without neglecting her one religion

Answer: Undoubtedly making friends with kaafir woman will adversely affect her religious commitment, because a kaafir woman does not behave in the same manner or have the same attitude as a Muslim woman, and she does not worship Allaah according to the religion of Islam. Therefore she will not avoid doing things that may adversely affect this Muslim woman who may be deceived by the modest dress or good manners of this kaafir woman, especially in matters that will adversely affect her religious commitment.

Similarly, making friends with her may lead to some kind of approval in one¡¯s heart for the rituals that she does as part of her one religion, and this will weaken the sense of friendship and enmity for the sake of Allaah(al-wala wa¡¯l-bara¡¯)

Indeed it may lead some ignorant people to disapprove the ruling of Allaah that the kaafirs are disbelivers who will abide in Hell forever- we seek refuge with Allaah. Hence the Prophet said ¡°Do not keep company with anyone but a believer and do not let anyone eat your food but one who is pious¡±(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2395; Abu Dawood, 4832; classed as saheeh by Ibn Hibbaan, 2/314; classed as hasan by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami¡¯, 7341)

We do not mean, however, that this Muslim woman should cut herself off completely from the kaafir woman; she may visit with her, visit her when she is sick and give her gifts, but without forming emotional attachment or joining in their festivals and celebrations. And the Muslim woman should aim, in those visits and gift-giving, to call this kaafir woman to Islam.

Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan said: There is nothing wrong with visiting kaafir in order to call them to Isam.

But visiting kaafir in order to have a good time with them is not permitted, because it is obligatory to hate them and shun them.

It is well known that at present they are extremely
hostile towards Islam. So what should our attitude be towards them? Is it
permissible to curse them as we are allowed to curse Jews? This issue is
confusing me a great deal.

Answer: The praise mentioned in these verses should not cause any confusion regarding the Christians or make us refrain from cursing them. The description in the verse does not include all Christians, rather it refers to a group among them who responded to the truth and were not to arrogant to follow it. This is what is implied by the context of the versed asked about:

These verses are speaking of some Christian people who, when they came to know the truth, became Muslim and declared their faith.

The great scholar Ibn al-Qayyim said concerning these verses: what is meant is that the people described here, when they realized that he was the Messenger of Allaah according to the description that they had, they could not stop eyes from weeping or their hearts from hastening to believe.

With regard to cursing those among the Christians who do not believe in Muhammad, there is innumerable definitive evidence which points to that, such as the hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari and Muslim in their Saheehs from ¡®Aa¡¯ishah, which says that the Messenger of Allah said, during his final illness: ¡°May Allaah curse the Jews and Christians, for they took graves of their Prophets as places of worship.¡± How can they be not cursed when Allah has described them in His Book as follows:

Surely,
they have disbelieved who say: ¡®Allaah is the Messiah[¡®Eesa(Jesus)], son of

Surely,
disbelievers are those who said: ¡®Allaah is the third of the three(in a

And there are other texts which speak of their kufr(disbelief) and misguidance. Among the verses which speak of their ultimate destiny is the last of the verses in the passage referred to by the questioner, where Allaah says(Interpretation of the meaning):

The peace between few of the Arab Political leaders and the Jews are futile ineffective and legally invalid from the shari¡¯ah point of view. It is inappropriate for any Muslim neither to take it as valid nor to implement any part of it except what is there forcefully and of a compulsion.

The proofs that these treaties are legally invalid, ineffective and non implement able(from shari¡¯ah point of view) are:
ÀÌ Á¶¾àµéÀÌ »þ¸®¾ÆÀÇ °üÁ¡¿¡¼ ¹ýÀûÀ¸·Î ½ÇÈ¿¼ºÀÌ ¾øÀ¸¸ç ½ÇÇà ºÒ°¡´ÉÇÏ´Ù´Â °ÍÀÇ Áõ°Å´Â ´ÙÀ½°ú °°½À´Ï´Ù.
These treaties stipulate the cessation of war between the Muslims and the Jews forever. That is an invalid proposition because the jihad that is against them is an obligation on every Muslim. It¡¯s valid and its viability decreed to be effective until the day of judgment and it can¡¯t be annulled from the laws of Allah by anyone. Whosoever believes that the jihad is nonexistent and attempts to nullify it, is a koffir and must be excommunicated as he would have denied the very core essentials of the religion.
ÆòÈÁ¶¾àÀº ¹«½½¸²°ú À¯´ëÀΰ£¿¡ ¿µ±¸ÇÑ ÈÞÀüÀ» ÇùÁ¤ÇÑ °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ ÇùÁ¤ÀÌ ½ÇÈ¿¼ºÀÌ ¾ø´Â ÀÌÀ¯´Â ¹Ù·Î À¯´ëÀο¡ ´ëÇØ ¼ºÀü(ÁöÇϵå)À» ¹úÀÌ´Â °ÍÀÌ ¸ðµç ¹«½½¸²µéÀÇ Àǹ«»çÇ×À̱⠶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ÀÌ Àǹ«»çÇ×Àº ¡®½ÉÆÇÀÇ ³¯¡¯ÀÌ µµ·¡ÇÒ ¶§±îÁö ÁöÄÑ¾ß ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ̸ç, ÀÌ ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¹ýÀº ¾î´À ´©±¸µµ ¹«È¿ÈÇÒ ¼ö ¾ø´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¼ºÀü(ÁöÇϵå)ÀÌ ½ÇÀçÇÏÁö ¾ÊÀ¸¸ç À̸¦ ¹«È¿ÈÇØ¾ß ÇÑ´Ù°í ÁÖÀåÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷ÀÌ ÀÖ´Ù¸é, ±×´Â ºÐ¸í ºÒ½ÅÀÚÀ̸ç, À̽½¶÷ÀÇ ÇÙ½É ±³¸®¸¦ °ÅºÎÇÏ¿´À¸¹Ç·Î ¹Ýµå½Ã Ãâ±³ÇØ¾ß ÇÕ´Ï´Ù.
For (violent) jihad is valid and effective until the day of judgment substantiated by the Qu¡¯ran, Sunnah and the l¡¯jma. However, it¡¯s permissible that the ceasefire agreement can be drawn for few years where it¡¯s in the interest of the Muslims, without time specification.
²Ù¶õ, ¼ø³ª(Àü½Â ±Ô¹ü), ÀÌÁ(¹ý¿ø)´Â ½ÉÆÇÀÇ ³¯±îÁö ¼ºÀü(Æø·ÂÇàÀ§, jihad)¸¦ ¼öÇàÇØ¾ß ÇÑ°í °Á¶ÇÏ°í ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ÇÏÁö¸¸ ¸¸¾à ÈÞÀüÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ ¹«½½¸²¿¡°Ô À¯¸®ÇÏ´Ù¸é, ±¸Ã¼ÀûÀÎ ±âÇÑÀ» Á¤ÇÏÁö ¾ÊÀº ä ÈÞÀü ÇùÁ¤À» ü°áÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù.
Secondly the treaties stipulated that the parties would do their utmost to remove the factors causing(basis/ reasons behind) enmity, hostility, and all other directives of the shari¡¯ah that may be fueling such enmity.
µÑ°·Î, ÆòÈÁ¶¾à¿¡¼ ¾çÃøÀÌ »óÈ£°£¿¡ Àû´ë°¨À» ÀÏÀ¸Å°´Â ¸ðµç ¿äÀΰú ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ Àû´ë°¨À» ºÎÃß±â´Â »þ¸®¾ÆÀÇ ÁöħµéÀ» Á¦°ÅÇϴµ¥ ÃÖ¼±À» ´ÙÇÏ°Ú´Ù°í ¾à¼ÓÇß½À´Ï´Ù.
This condition or pre-requisite is invalid because it contradicts the very nature of Islamic faith. For Islamic faith is based on the separation of Muslim and kaffir and that the kaffir is an enemy of Allah orever until he embraces Islam discarding his kufur, Allah has forbidden the believers from pleading any allegiance to the Kuffar or showing them any affection even if they were their fathers, brothers, children or kinsmen or their spouses as stated in sura 58:22.

Answer: The Standing Committee on Academic Research and Issuing Fatwas has examined the questions which have been submitted to it and the opinions and articles published and broadcast in the media concerning the call to unite the three religions of Islam, Judaism and Christianity; and the call which stems from that, to build a mosque, a church and an synagogue in one place, on university campuses and in public squares; and the call to print the Qur¡¯aan, Tawraat(Torah) and Injeel(Gospenl) in one volume, etc.; and the conferences, seminars and meetings on this topic which are being held in the east and in the west. After studying and pondering the matter, the Committee issues the following statement:

1. One of the basic principles of belief in Islam, on which all the Muslims are agreed(ijmaa¡¯) is that there is no true religion on the face of the earth apart from Islam. It is the final religion which abrogates all religions and laws that came before it. There is no religion on earth according to which Allaah is to be worshipped apart from Islam. ¡°And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers¡±[3:85]. After the coming of Muhammad, Islam means what he brought, not any other religion.
¸ðµç ¹«½½¸²ÀÌ µ¿ÀÇÇÏ´Â(ijmaa¡¯)À̽½¶÷ÀÇ ±âº» ½Å¾Ó¿øÄ¢ Áß Çϳª´Â À̽½¶÷ ÀÌ¿Ü¿¡ Àü¼¼°è¿¡ ¾î¶°ÇÑ ÂüµÈ Á¾±³µµ ¾ø´Ù´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. À̽½¶÷±³´Â ´Ù¸¥ ¸ðµç Á¾±³¿Í ¹ý·üÀ» ÆóÁö½ÃÅ°´Â ÃÖÈÄÀÇ Á¾±³ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. À̽½¶÷ ÀÌ¿Ü¿¡ ¾Ë¶ó¸¦ °æ¹èÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Â Á¾±³´Â Áö±¸»ó¿¡ ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù. ¡°À̽½¶÷ ¿Ü¿¡ ´Ù¸¥ Á¾±³¸¦ Ãß±¸ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ °áÄÚ ¼ö¶ôµÇÁö ¾ÊÀ» °ÍÀÌ´Ï ³»¼¼¿¡¼ ÆиÁÀÚ °¡¿îµ¥ ÀÖ°Ô µÇ¸®¶ó¡±(3:85). ¸¶È£¸ÞÆ®´Â ±× ¾î¶² Á¾±³µµ ¾Æ´Ñ À̽½¶÷À» ÀÌ ¼¼»ó¿¡ ÀüÆÄÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù.
2. One of the basic principles of belief in Islam is that the Book of Allaah, the Holy Qur¡¯aan, is the last of the Books to be revealed from the Lord of the Worlds. It abrogates all the Books that came before it, the Tawraat, Zaboor, Injeel and others. So there is no longer any revealed Book according to which Allaah may be worshipped aprt from the Qur¡¯aan.
µÑ°·Î, ¶Ç ´Ù¸¥ À̽½¶÷±³ ½Å¾Ó ¿øÄ¢À¸·Î, ¾Ë¶óÀÇ Ã¥ÀÎ °Å·èÇÑ ²Ù¶õÀÌ ¾Ë¶ó°¡ ÀÌ ¼¼»ó¿¡ °è½ÃÇÑ ¸¶Áö¸· Ã¥À̶ó´Â ¹ÏÀ½ÀÌ ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ²Ù¶õÀº ÀÌÀü¿¡ ÀÖ¾ú´ø ±¸¾à(Tawraat: Åä¶ó), ½ÃÆí(Zaboor), ½Å¾à(Injeel: Gospel)À» Æ÷ÇÔÇÑ ¸ðµç Ã¥°ú °è½Ã¸¦ Æó±âÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù. µû¶ó¼ ²Ù¶õ ÀÌ¿Ü¿¡ ¾Ë¶ó¸¦ °æ¹èÇϱâ À§ÇÏ¿© °è½ÃµÈ Ã¥Àº ´õ ÀÌ»ó ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù.
3. It is obligatory to believe that the Tawraat and Injeel have been abrogated by the Qur¡¯aan, and that they have been altered and distorted, with things added and taken away,
²Ù¶õ¿¡ ÀÇÇØ ±¸¾à(Tawraat)°ú ½Å¾à(Injeel)ÀÌ ¹«È¿ÈµÇ¾úÀ¸¸ç, ¼º°æÀÇ ³»¿ëÀº ºÒÇÊ¿äÇÑ °ÍÀÌ Ã·°¡µÇ°Å³ª ¿ø·¡ ÀÖ´ø °ÍÀÌ ´©¶ôµÇ¾ú±â¿¡, ¼º°æÀº º¯Áú/¿Ö°îµÇ¾ú´Ù°í ¹Ï´Â °ÍÀÌ ¹«½½¸²µéÀÇ Àǹ«ÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
¡°Then woe to those who write
the Book with their own hands and then say, ¡°This is from Allaah,¡± to purchase
with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe
to them for that they earn thereby.¡±[al-Baqarah2:79]

¡°And verily, among them is a party who distort the Book with their tongues(as they read), so that you may think it is from the Book, but it is not from the Book, and they say: ¡°This is rom Allaah,¡± but it is not from Allaah; and they speak a lie against Allaah while they know it¡±[Aal ¡®Imraan 3:78]

Hence, whatever in the previous books was correct is abrogated by Islam, and everything else is distorted and changed
µû¶ó¼, ¾Æ¹«¸® °ú°ÅÀÇ ¼º°æ °è½ÃµéÀÌ ¿Ç¾Ò´Ù°í ÇÒÁö¶óµµ, ÀÌÁ¦´Â ¸ðµÎ ¿Ö°îµÇ°í º¯ÁúµÇ¾úÀ» »ÓÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
4. One of the basic principles of belief in Islam is that we must believe that every Jew, Chrisitan or other person who does not enter Islam is a kaafir, and that those against whom proof is established must be named as kaafirs and regarded as enemies of Allaah, His Messenger and the believers, and that they are the people of Hell,
À̽½¶÷ÀÇ ±âº» ½Å¾Ó¿øÄ¢ Áß Çϳª´Â, ¸ðµç À¯´ëÀΰú ±âµ¶±³ÀÎ, ±×¸®°í À̽½¶÷À» ¹ÏÁö ¾Ê´Â ¸ðµç »ç¶÷Àº ºÒ½ÅÀÚÀ̸ç, µû¶ó¼ ¾Ë¶ó¿Í ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¼±ÁöÀÚ, ¹«½½¸²ÀÇ ´ëÀûÀ̸ç, ¸ðµç ºÒ½ÅÀÚ°¡ Áö¿ÁÀÇ »ç¶÷µéÀ̶ó´Â »ç½ÇÀ» ¹Ï´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
5. In the light of these basic principles of belief and the rulings of sharee¡¯ah, calling for the uniting of all religions, and for them to be brought close to one another and cast in the same mould, is an evil and crafty call whose aim is to mix truth with falsehood, to destroy Islam and undermine its pillars, and to tempt its followers into total apostasy.
ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ ½Å¾Ó°ú »þ¸®¾Æ ±ÔÄ¢ÀÇ °üÁ¡¿¡¼ ºÃÀ» ¶§, ¸ðµç Á¾±³¸¦ Çϳª·Î ÅëÀÏÇϱâ À§ÇØ °°Àº Ʋ¿¡ Áý¾î ³Ö°í »óÈ£ È£ÀǸ¦ ³ôÀÌ°Ú´Ù°í ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀº ¸Å¿ì ¾ÇÇÑ ÇàÀ§ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ÀÌ´Â Áø¸®¿Í °ÅÁþÀ» Çѵ¥ ¼¯À¸·Á´Â °Í°ú ¸¶Âù°¡ÁöÀÌ°í, À̽½¶÷À» Æı«ÇÏ°í ±× ±âµÕÀ» Æı«ÇÏ¿©¼ ¸ðµç ¹«½½¸²À» ¹è±³ÀÚ·Î ¸¸µé·Á´Â ÇàÀ§ÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
6. Among the effects of this evil call would be the cancelling out of the differences between Islam and kuffar, truth and falsehood, good and evil. It would break down the psychological barrier that exists between the Muslims and the kaafirs, and there would be no sense of al-Walaa¡¯ wa¡¯l Baraa¡¯(loyalty and friendship towards Muslims, disavowal and enmity towards kaafirs), or jihad and fighting to make the word of Allaah supreme in the earth of Allaah.
ÀÌ¿Í °°Àº ³ª»Û ½Ãµµ·Î ÀÎÇØ À̽½¶÷°ú À̱³µµ, Áø¸®¿Í °ÅÁþ, ¼±°ú ¾Ç »çÀÌÀÇ °æ°è¸¦ È帮´Â ºÎÀÛ¿ëÀ» ÃÊ·¡ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ¶ÇÇÑ ¹«½½¸²°ú À̱³µµ »çÀÌ¿¡ Á¸ÀçÇÏ´Â Á¤½ÅÀû À庮À» ºØ±«½Ãų ¼öµµ ÀÖÀ¸¸ç, ¹«½½¸²¿¡ ´ëÇؼ´Â Ã漺°ú È£ÀǸ¦ º£Ç®°í, À̱³µµ¿¡ ´ëÇؼ´Â Àû´ë°¨À» °®À¸¶ó´Â ¡®¾Ë¿Ð¶ó ¿Í¾Ë¹Ù¶ó¡¯(al-Walaa¡¯ wa¡¯l Baraa) Á¤½ÅÀ̳ª ÀÌ ¼¼»óÀÌ ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¸»¾¸À¸·Î Áö¹èµÉ ¶§±îÁö °è¼ÓÇØ¾ß ÇÏ´Â ÁöÇϵå¿Í ÀüÀï¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ÅõÁö¸¦ È帱 ¼öµµ ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù.
¡°Fight against those who
(1) believe not in Allaah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which
has been forbidden by Allaah and His Messenger(Muhammad), (4) and those who
acknowledge not the religion of truth(i.e. Islam) among the people of the
Scripture(Jews and Christians) until they pay the Jizyah with willing
submission, and feel themselves subdued¡±[al-Towbak9:29]

Mushrikoon(pholytheists, pagans, idolaters, disbelievers in the Oneness of
Allaah) collectively as they fight against you collectively. But know that

¡°O you who believe! Take
not as (your) Bitaanah(adivisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends)
those outside our religion(pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrities) since
they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to har you
severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts
conceale is far worse. Indeed we have made plain to you that Ayaat(proofs,
evidences, verses) if you understand¡±[Aal ¡®Immran3:118]

ÁöÇý°¡ ÀÖ´Ù¸é ¾Ë°Ô µÉ °ÍÀ̶ó¡±[À̹Ƕõ3:118]
7. If the call to unite the religions is made by a Muslim, this considered to be blatant apostasy from the religion of Islam, because it conflicts with the basic principles of belief. It is an acceptance of disbelief in Allaah and a contradiction of the truth of the Qur¡¯aan and its abrogation of all laws and religions that came before it. On this basis, it is an idea that should be rejected from the point of view of sharee¡¯ah, and it is definitely haraam according to the evidence of Islam, Qur¡¯aan, Sunnah and ijmaa¡¯(scholarly consensus).
¸¸¾à ¹«½½¸²ÀÌ Á¾±³°£ÀÇ ¿¬ÇÕÀ» ¿ä±¸ÇÑ´Ù¸é, ÀÌ ¹«½½¸²Àº ¾ÆÁÖ ¸í¹éÇÑ À̽½¶÷ ¹è±³ÀÚÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¿Ö³ÄÇϸé ÀÌ °°Àº ¿ä±¸´Â À̽½¶÷ ½Å¾ÓÀÇ ±âº» ¿øÄ¢¿¡ À§¹èµÇ±â ¶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¾Ë¶ó¸¦ ºÎÁ¤ÇÏ´Â ºÒ½Å¾ÓÀ» ¿ëÀÎÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ̸ç, ²Ù¶õÀÇ Áø¸®¿¡µµ À§¹èµÇ´Â ÀÏÀ̸ç, Á¾±³¿Í ¸ðµç ±Ô¹üÀ» Æó±âÇÏ´Â °Í°ú ¸¶Âù°¡ÁöÀÔ´Ï´Ù. µû¶ó¼ »þ¸®¾Æ °üÁ¡¿¡¼ ºÃÀ» ¶§ ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ ¿ä±¸ ´ç¿¬È÷ ¹«½ÃÇØ¾ß Çϸç, À̽½¶÷±³¿Í ²Ù¶õ, ¼ø³ª ¹× ÀÌÁ(Çй®Àû ÀÇ°ßÀÏÄ¡)ÀÇ Áõ°Å¿¡ µû¶ó ¸í¹éÇÏ°Ô ±ÝÁöÇØ¾ß ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
8. Based on the above: À§¿¡ ±Ù°ÅÇÏ¿©
i. It is not permissible for a Muslim who believes in Allaah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad as his Prophet and Messenger, to call people to this evil idea, to encourage it or to propagate it among the Muslims, let alone respond to it or join the conferences and gatherings held to promote it.
¾Ë¶ó¸¦ ½ÅÀ¸·Î, ¸¶È£¸ÞÆ®¸¦ ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¼±ÁöÀÚÀÌÀÚ ¸Þ½ÅÀú·Î ÀÎÁ¤ÇÏ´Â ¹«½½¸²À̶ó¸é, ´Ù¸¥ ¹«½½¸²µé¿¡°Ô ÀÌ ¾ÇÇÑ »ý°¢À» ÀüÆÄÇϰųª, ¾ÇÇÑ ÇൿÀ» ºÎÃß±æ ¼ö ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù. ±×³É È¥ÀÚ¸¸ ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ Çà»ç¿¡ Âü°¡ÇÏ°í ¸»¾Æ¾ß ÇÒ °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
ii. It is not permissible for a Muslim to print the Tawraat and Injeel on their own, so how about printing them with the Qur¡¯aan in one volume? Whoever does this or calls for it is far astray, because by doing so he is combining truth(the Qur¡¯aan) with that which is either distorted or was true but has now been abrogated(the Tawraat and Injeel).
¶ÇÇÑ ¹«½½¸²µéÀº ±¸¾àÀ̳ª ½Å¾àÀ» Á÷Á¢ ÀμâÇÒ ¼ö ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù. µû¶ó¼ ²Ù¶õ°ú ¼º°æÃ¥À» ÇÔ²² ÀμâÇÑ´Ù´Â °ÍÀÌ ¾î¶»°Ô °¡´ÉÇÏ°Ú½À´Ï±î? ²Ù¶õ°ú ¼º°æÀ» ÇÔ²² ÀμâÇÏ´Â °ÍÀº, ÇѶ§´Â °ÇÀüÇßÁö¸¸ ÀÌÁ¦ ¿ÏÀüÀÌ ¿Ö°î/º¯ÁúµÈ °Í(¼º°æ)À» Áø¸®(²Ù¶õ)¿¡ ¼¯¾î¹ö¸®´Â ¹è±³ÀÚÀÇ ÇàÀ§ÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
iii. Similarly, it is not permissible for a Muslim to respond to the call to build a mosque, church and synagogue in one place, because this involves recognizing a religion in which Allaah is worshipped other than Islam, and rejecting the idea that Islam should prevail over all other religions, and giving the idea that there are three religions and that is OK for people to belong to any of these three. This is a kind of equality which implies that Islam does not abrogate the religions that came before it. Undoubtedly, if a person approves of this, believes it or accepts it, this is kufr and misguidance, because it clearly goes against the Qur¡¯aan, the Sunna and the concensus(ijmaa¡¯) of the Muslims and implies that the distortions of the Jews and Christians come from Allaah-exalted be He far above that. By the same token, it is not permitted to call churches ¡°Houses of God¡± or to say that the people there are worshipping Allaah in a correct and acceptable manner, because this worship is not done according to the religion of Islam. On the contrary, there are houses in which disbelief(kufr) in Allaah is expressed; we seek refuge with Allaah from kufr and its people. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in Majmoo¡¯ al-Fataawaa(22/162): ¡°They-churches and synagogues- are not houses of Allaahl houses of Allaah are the mosques. On the contrary, they are houses in which disbelief(kufr) in Allaah is expressed. Even if Allaah is mentioned therein, houses are the same as the people in them, and the people in these houses are kuffaar, so they are the houses of worship of the kuffaar.¡±
¸¶Âù°¡Áö·Î, ÇÑ Áö¿ª¿¡ ¸ð½ºÅ©¿Í ±³È¸, À¯´ëȸ´çÀ» ÁþÀÚ´Â ¿äûµµ ¹«½½¸²Àº ¹Þ¾ÆµéÀÏ ¼ö ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù. ¿Ö³ÄÇϸé ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ »ý°¢Àº À̽½¶÷±³ ¹Û¿¡¼µµ ¾Ë¶ó¸¦ ¼¶±æ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù´Â »ç»óÀ» ¹Þ¾ÆµéÀÌ´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î, ÀÌ´Â À̽½¶÷±³°¡ ¸ðµç Á¾±³¸¦ Áö¹èÇØ¾ß ÇÑ´Ù´Â »ç»ó¿¡ À§¹èµÇ´Â °ÍÀÌ°í, ¼¼°¡Áö Áß ¾î´À Á¾±³¸¦ ¼±ÅÃÇصµ ¹«°üÇÏ´Ù´Â ÀλóÀ» »ç¶÷µé¿¡°Ô Áֱ⠶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ´Ù½Ã ¸»ÇØ À̽½¶÷ÀÌ ÀÌÀüÀÇ ¸ðµç Á¾±³µéÀ» Æó±âÇÑ´Ù´Â »ç»ó¿¡ ¹èÄ¡µÇ´Â ÆòµîÁÖÀÇ¿Í °°Àº °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ÀÌ·± »ý°¢¿¡ µ¿Á¶ÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷ÀÌ ÀÖ´Ù¸é, ±×´Â ºÐ¸íÈ÷ ºÒ½ÅÀÚÀ̸ç À߸øµÈ ±æ·Î ÀεµµÈ »ç¶÷ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¿Ö³ÄÇϸé ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ »ç»óÀº ²Ù¶õ°ú ¼ø³ª, ±×¸®°í ¹«½½¸²µéÀÇ ÇÕÀÇ(ijmaa¡¯)¿¡ Á¤¸éÀ¸·Î ¹èÄ¡µÇ´Â °ÍÀ̸ç, À¯´ëÀΰú ±âµ¶±³ÀεéÀÌ ¿Ö°îµÈ °ÍÀÌ ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¶æ¿¡ ÀÇÇÑ °ÍÀ̶ó´Â Àǹ̰¡ µÇ±â ¶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. 9. It should be noted that is obligatory on the Muslims to call the kuffaar in general, and the People of the Book in particular, to Islam through the clear texts of the Qur¡¯aan and Sunnah. But this is only to be done by explaining to them and arguing with them in a way that is better(with good words and in a good manner) (cf. Al-¡®Anakaboot 29:46), not by compromising any of the beliefs of laws of Islam. This is in order to convince them about Islam and bring them into the religion, or to establish proof against them so that those who are to be destroyed (for their rejecting the Faith) might be destroyed after a clear evidence, and those who are to live(i.e. believers) might live after a clear evidence

The Committee has made the above statement to the people. We advise the Muslims in general, and people of knowledge in particular, to fear Allaah and be aware that He is always watching, to guard Islam and to protect the ¡®aqeedah(belief) of the Muslims from misguidance and those who promote it and from kufr and its people, and to beware of this idea.

Question: I have been advised by several Muslims who are
knowledgeable in Islam against living in a kaffir country(America). I am an
American/Arab who has lived in America all my life but for a few months now was
living in Arabic country, however things are getting hard for me to continue to
living here(lack of income, housing, etc) and am considering going back to
America, also another strong reason is that the Health care system is better
and free for my wife who is ill. Please give me as much a detailed answer from
the Hadith and Quran as you can as I don¡¯t know for sure if I should strive to
continue living here or go back to America regarding Islam.

Àß ÆÇ´ÜÇÒ ¼ö°¡ ¾øÀ¸´Ï, ÇÏµð½º¿Í ²Ù¶õ¿¡ ³ªÅ¸³ ¹Ù¸¥ ÇØ´äÀ» °¡´ÉÇÑ ÀÚ¼¼È÷ ¼³¸íÇØÁֽñ⠹ٶø´Ï´Ù.
Answer: The basic principle is that it is haraam to settle among the mushikeen and in their land. If Allaah makes it easy for a person to move from such a country to a Muslim country, then he should not prefer that which is inferior[i.e. living in a non-Muslim country] to that which is better[living in a Muslim country] unless he has an excuse which permits him to go back.

We advise you, as others have, not to go and live in a kaafir country, unless you are forced to go there temporarily, such as seeking medical treatment that is not readily available in a Muslim country.
¿ì¸® À§¿øȸµµ ´Ù¸¥ ¹«½½¸²µé°ú °°ÀÌ À̱³µµÀÇ ³ª¶ó¿¡¼ »ìÁö ¸»¶ó°í Ãæ°íÇÏ°í ½Í½À´Ï´Ù. ÇÏÁö¸¸ ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¿¡¼´Â Ä¡·á°¡ ºÒ°¡´ÉÇϱ⠶§¹®¿¡ ¾î¿ ¼ö ¾øÀÌ Ä¡·á¸¦ À§ÇØ Àӽ÷Πºñ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¸¦ ¹æ¹®ÇÏ´Â °æ¿ì´Â ¿¹¿Ü·Î ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù.
Note that whoever gives up a thing for the sake of Allaah, Allaah will compensate him with something better, and that with hardship comes ease, and that whosoever fears Allaah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out(from every difficulty), and He will provide him from(sources) he never could imagine. You should also note that preserving one¡¯s capital is better that taking a risk in the hope of making a profit; the Muslim¡¯s capital is his religion, and he should not risk it for the sake of some transient worldly gain.

Shaykh Ibn ¡®Uthaymeen(may Allaah have mercy on him) issued a detailed fatwa concerning the issue of settling in a kaafir country, which we will quote here.
¼ÎÀÌÅ© ÀÌºì ¿ìŸÀ̹Î(±×¿¡°Ô ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ÀÚºñ°¡ ÀÓÇϱ⸦)Àº ºñ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¿¡ °ÅÁÖÇÏ´Â ¹®Á¦¿¡ °üÇØ ´ÙÀ½°ú °°Àº ÆÄÆ®¿Í¸¦ ¹ßÇ¥ÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù.
Shaykh Ibn ¡®Uthaymeen said: Setting in a kaafir country poses a great danger to the Muslim¡¯s religious commitment, morals, behavior and etiquette. We and others have seen how many of those who settled there went astray and came back different from when they went; they have come back as evildoers, and some have come back having apostatized from their religion and disbelieving in it and in all other religions- we seek refuge with Allaah- denying it completely and mocking the religion and its people, past and present. Hence we must take measures to guard against that and stipulate conditions which will prevent people from following this path which leads doom and destruction.
¼ÎÀÌÅ© ÀÌºì ¿ìŸÀ̹ÎÀº ´ÙÀ½°ú °°ÀÌ ¸»ÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù. ºñ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¿¡¼ »ê´Ù´Â °ÍÀº ¹«½½¸² ½ÅÀÚÀÇ Á¾±³Àû Çå½Å, µµ´ö, ÇàÀ§¿Í ¿¹ÀýÀ» ÁöÅ°´Â ÀÏ¿¡ Áß´ëÇÑ À§ÇùÀÌ µË´Ï´Ù. ¿ì¸®´Â ºñ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¿¡ »ì´ø ¸¹Àº ¹«½½¸² ½ÅÀÚµéÀÌ ¾î¶»°Ô º¯ÁúµÇ¾úÀ¸¸ç, ±×°÷¿¡ °¥ ¶§¿Í´Â ÀüÇô ´Ù¸¥ ¸ð½ÀÀ¸·Î µ¹¾Æ¿Â °ÍÀ» ¸¹ÀÌ º¸¾Æ¿Ô½À´Ï´Ù. ±×µéÀº Çà¾ÇÀÚ°¡ µÇ¾úÀ¸¸ç, ½Å¾ÓÀ» ¹ö¸° ä ´Ù¸¥ ½Å¾ÓÀεé, ¶Ç °ú°Å¿Í ÇöÀ縦 ºñ¿ô±âµµ Çß½À´Ï´Ù. µû¶ó¼ ¹«½½¸² ½ÅÀÚµéÀÌ ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ ºñ±ØÀûÀÎ ¿î¸í¿¡ óÇÏÁö ¾Êµµ·Ï öÀúÈ÷ ¹æÁöÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Â ±ÔÁ¤°ú Á¶Ç×À» ¸¸µé¾î¾ß ÇÕ´Ï´Ù.
These are two basic conditions which must be met before staying in kaafir countires:
¹«½½¸²ÀÌ ºñ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¿¡ ¸Ó¹«¸£±â À§Çؼ´Â ¸ÕÀú ´ÙÀ½ÀÇ µÎ°¡Áö ¿ä°ÇÀ» ÃæÁ·½ÃÄÑ¾ß ÇÕ´Ï´Ù.
The first condition is : that the person must be secure in his religious commitment, so that he has enough knowledge, faith and will power to ensure that he will adhere firmly to his religion and beware of deviating or going astray, and that he has an attitude of enmity and hatred of the kaafirs and will not befriend them and love them, for befriending them and loving them are things that contradicts faith. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ¡°You(O Muhammad) will find any people who believe in Allaah and the Last day, making friendship with those who oppose Allaah and His Messenger(Muhammad), even though they were their sons or their brothers or their kindred(people)¡±[al-Mujaadilah 58:22]
¸ÕÀú, È®½ÇÇÏ°Ô Á¾±³ Çå½ÅÀ» ÇÑ Àڷνá, ÃæºÐÇÑ Áö½Ä°ú ¹ÏÀ½, ¶ÇÇÑ ÈûÀ» °¡Áö°í °ß°íÇÏ°Ô ½Å¾ÓÀ» ÁöÅ°°í, ¹è±³Çϰųª À߸øµÈ ±æ·Î µé¾î°¡Áö ¾ÊÀ» ¼ö ÀÖ´Â »ç¶÷À̾î¾ß ÇÕ´Ï´Ù. ¶ÇÇÑ ºÒ½ÅÀÚ¿¡ ´ëÇÑ Áõ¿À½É°ú Àû´ë°¨À» ÁöÄѼ Àý´ë·Î ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀ» »ç¶ûÇϰųª ±×µé°ú Ä£ºÐÀ» ¸Î¾î¼´Â ¾ÈµË´Ï´Ù. ¿Ö³ÄÇÏ¸é ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀ» »ç¶ûÇÏ°í ±×µé°ú Ä£±¸°¡ µÇ´Â °ÍÀº À̽½¶÷ ½Å¾Ó¿¡ À§¹èµÇ´Â °ÍÀ̱⠶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¾Ë¶ó´Â ²Ù¶õÀÇ ¹«ÀÚ´Þ¶ó¿¡¼ ´ÙÀ½°ú °°ÀÌ ¸»ÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù: ¡°±×´ë´Â Çϳª´Ô°ú ³»¼¼¸¦ ¹Ï´Â ÀÚµéÀÌ ÀÚ½ÅÀÇ ¾Æ¹öÁöÀÌ´ø ¾ÆµéÀÌ´ø ¶Ç´Â ÇüÁ¦µéÀ̳ª ģôµéÀÌ´ø ±×µéÀÌ ¾Ë¶ó¿Í ±×ºÐÀÇ ¼±ÁöÀÚ¿¡°Ô °Å¿ªÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ¹ß°ßÄ¡ ¸øÇϸ®¶ó¡±[¹«ÀÚµô¶ó 58:22]
And He says: ¡°On you who
believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Awliyaa¡¯(friends, protectors,
helpers), they are but Awliyaa¡¯ of each other. And if any amongst you takes
them (as Awliyaa¡¯), then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allaah guides not
those people who are the Zaalimoon(polytheists and wrongdoers and unjust). And
you guides not those people who are the disease (of hypocrisy), they hurry to
their friendship, saying: ¡®We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may
befall us.¡¯ Perhaps Allaah may bring a victory or a decision according to His
Will. Then they will become regretful for what they have been keeping as a
secret in themselves.¡±[al-Maah¡¯ida 5:51]

¼·Î°¡ Ä£±¸µéÀ̶ó ±×µé¿¡°Ô·Î ÇâÇÏ´Â ³ÊÈñ°¡ ÀÖ´Ù¸é ±×´Â ±× ¹«¸®ÀÇ ÀÏ¿øÀÌ°Å´Ã ¾Ë¶ó´Â ÀÌ ¿ì¸ÅÇÑ ¹é¼ºµéÀ» ÀεµÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϽø®¶ó¡± [¸¶ÀÌ´Ù 5:51]
And it was narrated in al-Saheeh that the Prophet said: ¡°whoever loves a people is one of them¡± and that ¡°A man will be with the one whom he loves.¡±

Loving the enemies of Allaah is one of the most serious dangers for the Muslim, because loving them implies that one agrees with them and follows them, or at the very least that one does not denounce them, hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ¡°Whoever loves a people is one of them.¡±
¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¿ø¼ö¸¦ »ç¶ûÇÏ´Â ÇàÀ§´Â ¹«½½¸²¿¡°Ô ÀÖ¾î¼ °¡Àå À§ÇèÇÑ ÀÏÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¿Ö³ÄÇÏ¸é ¿ø¼öµéÀ» »ç¶ûÇÏ°Ô µÇ¸é, ±×µéÀÇ ÀÇ°ß¿¡ µ¿Á¶ÇÏ°í, ±×µéÀ» µû¶ó°¡°Ô µÇ±â ¶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ±× Á¤µµ´Â ¾Æ´Ï´õ¶óµµ ÃÖ¼ÒÇÑ ¿ø¼ö¸¦ ºñ³ÇÏ´Â ÀÏÀº ÇÏÁö ¾Ê°Ô µË´Ï´Ù. µû¶ó¼ ¼±ÁöÀÚ ¸¶È£¸ÞÆ®(¾Ë¶óÀÇ ÆòÈ¿Í ÃູÀÌ ÀÓÇϱæ)´Â ¡°»ç¶÷Àº ÀڱⰡ »ç¶ûÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷µé Áß ÇϳªÀÌ´Ù¡±¶ó°í ¸»ÇÑ °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
The second condition is that he should be able to practice his religion openly, so that he can observe the rituals of Islam with no impediment. So he will not be prevented from establishing regular prayer, and praying Jumu¡¯ah and offering prayers in congregation if there are others there with whom he can pray in congregation and pray Jum¡¯ah; and he will not be prevented from paying zakaah, fasting, performing Hajj and doing other rituals of Islam. If he will not be able to do that then it is not permissible to stay there because it becomes obligatory to migrate (hijrah) in that case.
±×¸®°í, ºñ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¿¡ »ì±â À§Çؼ´Â ÀÚ½ÅÀÇ Á¾±³ ÀǽÄÀ» °ø°³ÀûÀ¸·Î ¼öÇàÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ¾î¾ß ÇÕ´Ï´Ù. ±×·¡¾ß¸¸ ±×°÷¿¡¼µµ À̽½¶÷ÀÇ Á¾±³¿¹½ÄÀ» ¾î·Á¿ò ¾øÀÌ Áöų ¼ö Àֱ⠶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. Shaykh Ibn ¡®Uthaymeen said- explaining the categories of people who settle in non-Muslim lands:¡¦
¼ÎÀÌÅ© ÀÌºì ¿ìŸÀ̹ÎÀº ºñ¹«½½¸² ±¹°¡¿¡¼ »ì ¼ö ÀÖ´Â ³×°¡Áö °æ¿ì¸¦ ¼³¸íÇØÁÖ¾ú½À´Ï´Ù.
The fourth category includes those who stay for an individual, permissible need, such as doing business or receiving medical treatment. It is permissible for them to stay as long as they need to. The scholars(may Allaah have mercy on them) have stated that it is permissible to go to kaafir countries in order to do business, and they narrated that some of the Sahaabah(may Allaah be pleased with them) had done that.

They Shaykh said [at the end of the fatwa]: how can the believer be content to live in the land of the kuffaar where the rituals of kufr are proclaimed openly and rule belongs to someone other than Allaah and His Messenger, seeing that with his own eyes, hearing that with his own ears and approving of it, and even starting to feel that he belongs there and living there with his wife and children, and feeling as comfortable there as he does in the Muslim lands, even though he and his wife and children are in such great danger and their religious commitment and morals are in such peril?

ÇâÇØ ¼±ÇÑ Àǵµ¸¦ °®°í ÀÖ´Ù°í ÁÖÀåÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷µéÀÌ ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ÀÌ ¸»¿¡ ´ëÇØ ¾î¶»°Ô »ý°¢ÇϽʴϱî?
Answer: The enmity of the kuffaar- the People of the Book(Jews and Christians), mushrikeen
(polytheists) and hypocrites- towards the believers will last until the Hour begins. The conflict between truth and falsehood will continue until Allaah inherits the earth and whomsoever is upon it. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ¡°And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion(Islamic Monotheism) if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever¡±[al-Baqarah 2:17]

Because Islam rules the believers with justice, and gives each person his rights, and they do not want this to happen – for this reason they strive to wage war against this religion and to refute the truth with falsehood. But they can never achieve that, for this religion will abide, and Allaah will perfect His light, even though the kaafiroon hate that.
ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀÌ À̽½¶÷±³¸¦ ¹Ý´ëÇÏ´Â ÀÌÀ¯´Â, À̽½¶÷±³´Â ¹Ï´Â ÀÚµéÀ» Á¤ÀÇ·Î ´Ù½º¸®¸ç °³ÀÎÀÇ ±Ç¸®¸¦ ÀÎÁ¤Çϱ⠶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ±×·¡¼ À̽½¶÷¿¡ ¹Ý´ëÇÏ´Â ÀüÀïÀ» ÀÏÀ¸Å°°í °ÅÁþµÈ ³í¸®·Î Áø¸®¸¦ ºÎÁ¤ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. The kuffaar want all the nations of this earth to follow kufr as one: ¡°they wish that you reject faith, as they have rejected(Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another)¡± [al-Nissa¡¯ 4:89]

Allaah has told us how strong the enmity of the kuffaar is towards the Muslims:

those who disbelieve among the people of the Scripture(Jews and Christians) or
Al-Mushikoon(the idolaters, polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allaah,
pagans) like that there should be sent down unto you any good from your Lord. But
Allaah chooses for His Mercy whom He wills. And Allaah is the Owner of Great
Bounty.¡± [al-Baqarah 2:105]

No matter what the kuffaar do, their enmity will not end. Even though they may speak words of friendship, their hearts are filled with hatred towards Islam and its people:
ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀÌ ¹«½¼ ÀÏÀ» Çϵç, ±×µéÀÇ Àû´ë°¨Àº °áÄÚ ³¡³ªÁö ¾ÊÀ» °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀÌ ÀÔÀ¸·Î´Â ¿ìÁ¤À» ¸»ÇÑ´Ù ÇÒÁö¶óµµ, ±×µéÀÇ ¸¶À½Àº À̽½¶÷°ú ¹«½½¸²¿¡ ´ëÇÑ Áõ¿À·Î °¡µæ Â÷ ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù.
¡°How
(can there be such a covenant with them) that when you are overpowered by them,
they regard not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant with you? With (good
words from) their mouths they please you, but their hearts are averse to you,
and most of them are Faasiqoon(rebellious, disobedient to Allaah)¡± [al-Tawbah

The People of the Book disbelieve in the verses of Allaah, and mix truth with falsehood. They conceal the truth and plot against Islam, in order to divert the Muslims from their religion.
¼º¼ÀÇ ¹é¼ºµé(À¯´ëÀΰú ±âµ¶±³ÀÎ)Àº ¾Ë¶ó¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ¼º°æ ±¸ÀýÀ» ¹ÏÁö ¾Ê°í, Áø¸® ¼Ó¿¡ °ÅÁþÀ» ¼¯Àº »ç¶÷µéÀÔ´Ï´Ù. Áø¸®¸¦ ¿Ü¸éÇÑ Ã¤, À̽½¶÷¿¡ ´ëÀûÇÏ¿© ¹«½½¸²µéÀÌ À̽½¶÷À» ¹ö¸®µµ·Ï Á¶ÀåÇÏ°í ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù.
All of the Kuffaar, be they the People of the Book (Jews and Christians), mushrikeen(polytheists) or hypocrites, are the enemies of the Muslims, so it is not permissible to depend upon them or to rely on them.
¼º¼ÀÇ ¹é¼ºµé(À¯´ëÀΰú ±âµ¶±³ÀÎ)À̳ª ´Ù½Å·ÐÀÚ, À§¼±ÀÚ¸¦ ¸··ÐÇÏ°í ¸ðµç ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀº ¿ì¸® ¹«½½¸²µéÀÇ ¿ø¼öÀ̱⠶§¹®¿¡, ¹«½¼ ÀÏÀÌµç ºÒ½ÅÀڵ鿡°Ô ÀÇÁ¸Çؼ´Â ¾ÈµË´Ï´Ù.
Allaah says: ¡°Let not the believers take the disbelievers as Awliyaa;(supporters,
helpers) instead of the believers, and whoever does that, will never be helped
by Allaah in any way, except if you indeed fear a danger from them. And Allaah
warns you against Himself(His punishment), and to Allaah is the final return¡±[Aal
¡®Imraan 3:28]

ÀÚ ÀÖ´Ù¸é ¾Ë¶ó²² ´ëÇÑ ¹ÏÀ½ÀÌ Á¶±Ýµµ ¾ø³ª´Ï Ç×»ó °æ°èÇÏ¿© ±×µé·ÎºÎÅÍ ³ÊÈñ ÀÚ½ÅÀ» º¸È£ÇÏ´Â ±æ¹Û¿£ ¾ø³ë¶ó ¾Ë¶ó´Â ³ÊÈñ·Î ÇÏ¿©±Ý ±×ºÐÀ» ±â¾ïÄÉ ÇÏ¿©
ÁÖ½Ã´Ï ÃÖÈÄÀÇ ¸ñÀûÀº ¾Ë¶ó²²·Î °¡´Ï¶ó¡±¶ó°í À̹Ƕõ 3:28¿¡¼
¸»ÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù.
Allaah has warned us against taking the
Jews and Christians as friends, and He told us that whoever takes them as
friends is one of them. ¡°O you who
believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Awliyaa¡¯(friends, protectors,
helpers), they are but Awliyaa¡¯ of each other. And if any amongst yu takes them
(as Awliyaa¡¯), then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allaah guides not those
people who are the Zaalimoon(polytheists and wrongdoers and unjust)¡±[al-Maaidah
5:51]
¾Ë¶ó´Â À¯´ëÀΰú ±âµ¶±³ÀÎÀ» Ä£±¸·Î »ï´Â °ÍÀÇ À§Ç輺À» °æ°íÇÏ¿´À¸¸ç, ´©±¸µçÁö ±×µéÀ» Ä£±¸·Î ÅÃÇÏ´Â »ç¶÷Àº ±× ¿ª½Ã ºÒ½ÅÀÚµé ÁßÀÇ Çϳª¶ó°í ¸»ÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù. ¡°¹Ï´Â ÀÚµéÀÌ¿© À¯´ëÀΰú ±âµ¶±³ÀεéÀ» Ä£±¸·Î ±×¸®°í º¸È£Àڷνá ÅÃÇÏÁö ¸»¶ó ±×µéÀº ¼·Î°¡ Ä£±¸µéÀ̶ó ±×µé¿¡°Ô·Î ÇâÇÏ´Â ³ÊÈñ°¡ ÀÖ´Ù¸é ±×´Â ±× ¹«¸®ÀÇ ÀÏ¿øÀÌ°Å´Ã ¾Ë¶ó´Â ÀÌ ¿ì¸ÅÇÑ ¹é¼ºµéÀ» ÀεµÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϽø®¶ó¡±[¸¶ÀÌ´Ù 5:51]
All of the kuffaar, be they the People of the Book (Jews and Christians) mushirikeen(polytheists) or hypocrites, will be in Hell on the Day of Resurrection,
¸ðµç ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀº, ±×µéÀÌ ¼º¼ÀÇ ¹é¼º(À¯´ëÀΰú ±âµ¶±³ÀÎ)À̵çÁö ´Ù½Å·ÐÀÚÀ̵çÁö À§¼±ÀÚÀ̵çÁö °ü°è¾øÀÌ ¸ðµÎ ºÎÈ°ÀÇ ³¯¿¡ ¸ðµÎ Áö¿Á¿¡ ÀÖ°Ô µÉ °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
¡°Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur¡¯aan and Prophet Muhammad) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushirkoon will abide in the fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures¡±[al-Bayyinah 98:6] The kuffaar and the Jews are the greediest of mankind for life, because they know that they have no share in the Hereafter. They hate death because they fear what comes after it, as Allaah tells us about the Jews and mushrikeen ¡°And verily, you will find them (the Jews) the greediest of mankind for life and (Even greedier) than those who ascribe partners to Allaah (and do not believe in Resurrection – Magians, pagans, and idolaters). Everyone of them wishes that he could be given a life of a thousand years. But the grant of such life will not save him even a little from (due) punishment. And Allaah is All-Seer of what they do¡±[al-Baqarah 2:96¡¯,

Answer it is not permissible for a Muslim to eat things that the Jews and Christians make on their festivals, or what they give him as a gift on their festivals, because that is cooperating with them and joining in with them in this evil.

The abrogated religions are those which were taught by the Prophets who came before our Prophet Muhammad. They are valid in that their origins are from Allaah, but Islam came and took their place, not with regard to basic beliefs such as the existence of God, the angels, Paradise and Hell, for these are matters which all the Messengers have in common, but there are differences between them with regard to ways of worshipping and drawing close to Allaah by means of prayer, fasting, pilgrimage, alms, etc. The later followers of the Prophets have fallen into deviations of belief and shirk, but Islam came to point that out and bring people to the correct belief taught by the earlier Prophets.

The evidence or that is the verse in which
Allaah says ¡°And whoever seeks a religion
other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he
will be one of the losers¡±[Aal ¡®Imraan 3:85]

He(the kaafir) will be a loser in Hell, and will not come of out it. It is not possible for a kaafir to enter Paradise unless he becomes Muslim.

Question: What are the actions which, if a Muslim does
them, he will be an apostate from Islam?
Áú¹®: ¹«½½¸²ÀÌ ¾î¶² ÇàÀ§¸¦ Çϸé À̽½¶÷À» ¹è±³ÀÚ°¡ µË´Ï±î?
Answer: Note that Allaah has commanded all people to enter Islam and to adhere to it and to beware of whatever is contrary to it. He sent His Prophet Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to call mankind to that. He tells us that those who follow him will be guided and that those who turn away from him have gone astray. In many verses He warns against the means that lead to apostasy and all forms of shirk and kufr. The scholars(may Allaah have mercy on them) have said, when discussing apostasy, that a Muslim may apostatize from his religion by doing many acts that nullify Islam, which makes it permissible to shed his blood and seize his wealth, and which will put him beyond the pale of Islam. Among the most serious and most common of these things are ten which were mentioned by Shaykh Muhammad Ibn ¡®Abd al-Wahhaab and other scolars (may Allaah have mercy on them all). We will mention them in brief here, so that you and others can beware of them, in the hope that you will be safe and sound. We will also explain a little about them after mentioning each one.

ÀÌ 10°¡Áö ÇàÀ§¸¦ °£´ÜÈ÷ »ìÆ캸µµ·Ï ÇÏ°Ú½À´Ï´Ù. ÀÌ°ÍÀ» Àаí Àß ¼÷ÁöÇϽŠºÐµéÀº ¾È½ÉÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ¶ÇÇÑ °¢°¢ÀÇ ÇൿÀ» ¾ð±ÞÇÑ µÚ °£´ÜÇÑ ¼³¸íµµ µ¡ºÙÀ̵µ·Ï ÇÏ°Ú½À´Ï´Ù.
1. Shirk or associating others in worship with Allaah. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning)¡± ¡°Verily, Allaah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with Him, but He forgives whom He wills, sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allaah, has indeed strayed far away¡± [al-Nisa¡¯ 4:116]
½Å¼º ¸ðµ¶, ¶Ç´Â ¾Ë¶ó¸¦ ´Ù¸¥ °Í¿¡ ºñÀ¯ÇÏ´Â ÇàÀ§. ¾Ë¶ó´Â ¡°½Ç·Î ¾Ë¶ó´Â ±×ºÐ¿¡ ºñÀ¯ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¸¦ ¿ë¼ÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϽø®¶ó ±×·¯³ª ±×¿Ü¿¡´Â ¿øÇÏ´Â ÀÚ¸¶´Ù ¿ë¼¸¦ ÇϽóª ¾Ë¶ó¿¡ ºñÀ¯ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ´Â ¸Ö¸®¼ ¹æȲÇϴ϶ó¡±[´Ï½Î¾Æ 4:116]¶ó°í ¸»ÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù.
2. Whoever sets up intermediaries between himself and Allaah, asks them to intercede, and puts his trust in them, is a kaafir according to the scholarly consensus.
ÀÚ±â¿Í ¾Ë¶ó »çÀÌ¿¡ ÁßÀçÀÚ¸¦ µÎ°í, ÁßÀçÀÚ¿¡°Ô µµ¿òÀ» ¿äûÇÏ°í ÁßÀçÀÚ¿¡°Ô Àڱ⠹ÏÀ½À» ÁÖ´Â »ç¶÷Àº ºÒ½ÅÀÚ¶ó°í ÇÐÀÚµéÀÌ ÇÕÀÇÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù.
3. Whoever does not regard the mushrikeen as kaafirs, or doubts that they are kaafirs, or regards their way as correct, is a kaafir.
´Ù½Å·ÐÀÚ¸¦ ºÒ½ÅÀÚ·Î ¿©±âÁö ¾Ê°Å³ª, ºÒ½ÅÀÚÀÎÁö È®½ÅÇÏÁö ¸øÇϰųª, ±×µéÀÇ ±æÀÌ ¿Ç´Ù°í ¿©±â´Â »ç¶÷µéµµ ¿ª½Ã ºÒ½ÅÀÚÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
4. Whoever believes that anything other than the teaching of the Prophet(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is more complete than his teachings, or that the rulings of anyone else are better than his rulings- such as those who prefer the rule of false laws to his rulings- is a kaafir.

5. Whoever hates any part of that which the Prophet(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) brought, even if he acts in accordance with it, is a kaafir, because Allaah says(interpretation of the meaning): ¡°That is because they hate that which Allaah has sent down (this Qur¡¯aan and Islamic laws; so He made their deeds fruitless¡±[Muhammad 47:9]

6. Whoever makes fun of anything in the religion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), or makes fun of any texts that refer to rewards or punishments, is a kaafir. The evidence for that is the verse (interpretation of the meaning): ¡°Say: Was it at Allaah, and His Ayaat(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and His Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuse; you disbelieved after you had believed¡±[al-Tawbah 9:65~66]

¹«¸®°¡ ÀÖÀ» °ÍÀ̸ç, ¹úÀ» ¹ÞÀ» ¹«¸®°¡ ÀÖÀ¸¸®´Ï ±×µéÀº ÁËÀεéÀ̶ó¡±(Ÿ¿ì¹Ù 9:65~66)
7. Sihr(witchcraft)- including spells to turn one person against another or to make someone love another. Whoever does this or approves of it is a kaafir. The evidence for that is the verse(interpretation of the meaning): ¡°but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, ¡®We are for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)¡±[al-Baqarah 2:102]

8. Supporting the mushrikeen and helping them against the Muslims. The evidence for that is the verse in which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): ¡°O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Awliyaa¡¯(friends, protectors, helpers), they are but Awliyaa¡¯ of each other. And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa¡¯), then surely, he is one of them. Verily, Allaah guides not those people who are the Zaalimoon(polytheists and wrongdoers and unjust)¡±[al-Maa¡¯idah 5:51]

¼·Î°¡ Ä£±¸µéÀ̶ó ±×µé¿¡°Ô·Î ÇâÇÏ´Â ³ÊÈñ°¡ ÀÖ´Ù¸é ±×´Â ±× ¹«¸®ÀÇ ÀÏ¿øÀÌ°Å´Ã ¾Ë¶ó´Â ÀÌ ¿ì¸ÅÇÑ ¹é¼ºµéÀ» ÀεµÇÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇϽø®¶ó¡± (¸¶ÀÌ´Ù 5:51)
9. Whoever believes that some people are allowed to operate outside the law of Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) just as al-Khidr operated outside the law of Moosa(peace be upon him) is a kaafir, because Allaah says(interpretation of the meaning): ¡°And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers¡±[Aal ¡®Imraan 3:85]

¾Ë¶ó°¡ ¡°À̽½¶÷ ¿Ü¿¡ ´Ù¸¥ Á¾±³¸¦
Ãß±¸ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ °áÄÚ ¼ö¶ôµÇÁö ¾ÊÀ» °ÍÀÌ´Ï ³»¼¼¿¡¼ ÆиÁÀÚ °¡¿îµ¥ ÀÖ°Ô µÇ¸®¶ó¡±¶ó°í ¸»Ç߱⠶§¹®ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. (À̹Ƕõ3:85)
10. Turning away from the religion of Allaah, not learning it and not acting in accordance with it. The evidence for that is the verse (interpretation of the meaning): ¡°And who does more wrong than he who is reminded of the Ayaat(proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of his Lord, then turns aside therefrom? Verily, We shall exact retribution from the Mujrimoon(criminals, disbelievers, polytheists, sinners)¡±[al-Sajdah 32:22]

½ÎÁî´Ù¿¡ ³ª¿Í ÀÖ½À´Ï´Ù. ¡°¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¸»¾¸À» ±â¾ïÇÑ ÈÄ ±× ¸»¾¸À» ¹è¹ÝÇÑ ÀÚº¸´Ù ´õ »ç¾ÇÇÔÀÌ ¾îµð ÀÖ´À´¢ ½Ç·Î
¾Ë¶ó´Â ÁËÀε鿡°Ô ¹úÀ» ³»¸± °ÍÀ̶ó¡±(½ÎÁî´Ù 32:22)
With regard to all of these acts that nullify Islam, it makes no difference whether a person is joking, serious or afraid, unless he is forced to do it. All of them are very serious, and they all happen a great deal. The Muslim should beware of them and fear falling into them. We seek refuge with Allaah from the things that may incur His wrath and painful punishment. May Allaah send blessings and peace upon the best of His creation, Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
ÀÌ ¸ðµç ÇൿµéÀº À̽½¶÷À» ¹«½ÃÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ̸ç, ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ ÇàÀ§°¡ Àå³À̾ú´øÁö, Áø½ÉÀ̾ú´øÁö, ¶Ç´Â µÎ·Á¿òÀ» ´À²¼´Ù ÇÏ´õ¶óµµ º°¹Ý Â÷ÀÌ°¡ ¾ø½À´Ï´Ù. ´Ù¸¸ °¾ÐÀûÀ¸·Î ¾î¿ ¼ö ¾øÀÌ ÇàÇß´Ù¸é ÀÌ °æ¿ì¸¸Àº ¿¹¿ÜÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ÇÏÁö¸¸ ÀÌ·± ÀÏÀº ´ëºÎºÐÀº ½É°¢ÇÑ Àǵµ·Î ¹úÀÌ´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¹«½½¸²µéÀº ºÒ½ÅÀÚµéÀÇ ÇàŸ¦ ÁÖÀÇÇÏ°í ÀÌ¿¡ ºüÁöÁö ¾Êµµ·Ï Á¶½ÉÇØ¾ß ÇÕ´Ï´Ù. ¿ì¸®´Â ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ºÐ³ë¿Í °íÅ뽺·¯¿î Çü¹úÀ» ¹Þ°Ô ¸¸µå´Â ÇàÀ§¸¦ ¹ö¸®°í ¾Ë¶ó¿Í ¾ÈÀüÇÏ°Ô ÀÖ±æ ¿øÇÕ´Ï´Ù. ¾Ë¶ó°¡ ±×ÀÇ ÃÖ°í ÇÇÁ¶¹°ÀÎ ¸¶È£¸ÞÆ®¿Í ±×ÀÇ °¡Á·, µ¿·á¿¡°Ô Ãູ°ú Æòȸ¦ ´õÇÏ±æ ¹Ù¶ø´Ï´Ù.
The fourth category includes these who believe that the systems and laws devised by men are better than the sharee¡¯ah of Islam, or equal to it; or that it is permissible to refer to them for judgments and rulings, even if he believes that referring to sharee¡¯ah is better; or that the Islamic system is not fit to be applied in the twentieth century; or that it was the cause of the Muslims¡¯ backwardness; or that it should be limited to a person¡¯s relationship with his Lord and not have anything to do with the other affairs of life.
¶Ç ÇÑ°¡Áö À¯ÇüÀº Àΰ£ÀÌ ¸¸µç ½Ã½ºÅÛ°ú ¹ý·üÀÌ À̽½¶÷ÀÇ »þ¸®¾Æº¸´Ù ´õ ¿ì¿ùÇϰųª ÃÖ¼ÒÇÑ µ¿µîÇÏ´Ù°í ¹Ï´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¶Ç´Â »þ¸®¾Æ°¡ ´õ ÁÁ´Ù°í ¹ÏÀ¸¸é¼µµ Àΰ£ÀÇ ¹ý·üÀ» Âü°íÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´Â °Íµµ ¸¶Âù°¡Áö ÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¶Ç´Â À̽½¶÷ÀÇ ½Ã½ºÅÛÀÌ ÇöÀç 21¼¼±â¿¡´Â ¾î¿ï¸®Áö ¾ÊÀ¸¸ç, ±×°ÍÀ» °íÁýÇÏ´Â ¹«½½¸²Àº ±¸½Ã´ëÀûÀ̶ó°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¾Æ´Ï¸é, »þ¸®¾Æ°¡ Àΰ£°ú ½Å »çÀÌÀÇ ½Å¾Ó ¹®Á¦¿¡¸¸ °ü¿©ÇÏ°í ´Ù¸¥ ¹®Á¦´Â »þ¸®¾Æ¿Í º°°³¶ó°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´Â °Íµµ ¹®Á¦ÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
The fourth category also includes those who think that carrying out the ruling of Allaah by cutting off the hand of the thief or stoning the married adulterer is not appropriate in the modern age.
¶ÇÇÑ ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¸í·É¿¡ µû¶ó µµµÏÀÇ ¼Õ¸ñÀ» ÀÚ¸£°í °£À½À» ÇàÇÑ »ç¶÷À» µ¹·Î ÃÄÁ׿©¾ß ÇÑ´Ù´Â ¹ýÀÌ Çö´ë ½Ã´ë¿¡ ÀûÇÕÇÏÁö ¾Ê´Ù°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´Â °Íµµ ¸¶Âù°¡ÁöÀÔ´Ï´Ù.
That also includes: everyone who believes that it is permissible to rule according to something other than the laws of Allaah with regard to interactions, hudood punishments or other matters, even if he does not believe that that is better than the ruling of sharee¡¯ah, because by doing so he is regarding as permissible something that Allaah has forbidden according to consensus, and everyone who regards as permissible something that Allaah has forbidden and is well known to be forbidden in Islam, such that no Muslim has any excuse for not knowing that it is forbidden, such as adultery, alchohol and riba, and ruling by something other than the sharee¡¯ah of Allaah, is a kaafir according to the consensus of the Muslims.
´ÙÀ½°ú °°Àº °æ¿ì°¡ ¸ðµÎ Æ÷ÇԵ˴ϴÙ. ¸ÕÀú ÀÎÅ;׼Ç, Èĵεå Çü¹ú°ú ´Ù¸¥ ¹®Á¦¸¦ ó¸®ÇÒ ¶§, ¾Ë¶óÀÇ ¹ý·üÀÌ ¾Æ´Ñ ±ÔÄ¢À» Àû¿ëÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ °¡´ÉÇÏ´Ù°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÔ´Ï´Ù. ¹°·Ð »þ¸®¾Æ°¡ ´õ ¿ì¿ùÇÑ ¹ýÀ̶ó°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´õ¶óµµ, ºñÀ̽½¶÷ ¹ý·üÀ» Àû¿ëÇÒ °æ¿ì, ÇÕÀÇ¿¡ µû¶ó ¾Ë¶ó°¡ ±ÝÁöÇÑ °ÍÀ» Çã¿ëÇÒ °¡´É¼ºÀÌ Àֱ⠶§¹®¿¡ ÀÌ °°Àº »ý°¢Àº À§ÇèÇÕ´Ï´Ù. ±×¸®°í ¾Ë¶ó°¡ ±ÝÁöÇÏ¿© ¸ðµç ¹«½½¸²µéÀÌ ÀÎÁöÇÏ°í ÀÖ´Â °£À½À̳ª À½ÁÖ, °í¸®´ë±Ý°ú °°Àº ÇàÀ§¸¦ ¿ë³³ÇÒ ¼ö ÀÖ´Ù°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´Â °Í°ú, ¾Ë¶óÀÇ »þ¸®¾Æ ÀÌ¿ÜÀÇ ¹ýÀ¸·Î ´Ù½º·Á¾ß ÇÑ´Ù°í »ý°¢ÇÏ´Â ¸ðµç °ÍÀº ºÒ½ÅÀÚÀÇ °ÍÀ̶ó°í ¸ðµç ¹«½½¸²µéÀÌ ÇÕÀÇÇÏ¿´½À´Ï´Ù.
