ZAINAB BINT JAHSH

A beautiful Hashemite women of high rank. Her mother is Umm Salamah. She was commanded in the Qur'an to obey Muhammad's proposal of marriage to his adopted son, Zaid. Their marriage was a disaster. Being the wife of his adopted son, Zainab is not lawful for Muhamamd. However, a revelation came to allow this exceptional marriage, which is not allowed for anyone else. She married him in 4 A.H.
